DONT BE PERFECT
We hear this a lot on the internet, action over perfection. I'm going to spin it a bit further for you as a solopreneur. Take it to a level of you being you versus launching a new offer or publishing a sales page without 76 edits.
WHEN WE WERE BABIES WE DID NOT WORRY ABOUT HOW GOOD OR BAD WE WERE AT LEARNING TO WALK AND TALK. WE JUST DID IT UNTIL WE GOT IT.
This is the shattering of perfection.
What is perfect?
YOU ARE, here and NOW, AS YOU ARE.
Fully embodying this, unconditional self love, is the path to be free and to LOVE oh so freely. To love others, to love your biz, to love the life you are living, to love the journey you are on.
And this detachment, this childlike self love and levity will allow you to just experiment until momentum builds and builds.
SO DONT BE PERFECT
DONT HOLD ON
JUST LET YOURSELF PLAY
Because through play you will discover, you will learn and you will grow, your spirit will expand and lessons will integrate intellectually and emotionally.
Besides, there is no liposuction to a successful, robust and EASY business.
There is no shortcut!! No matter what the internet tries to sell to you, YOU are the one who has to make it work and show up, and let yourself become, let yourself evolve. No one else can do that for you.
I LOOOVE the analogy of weight loss to business success, because it so tangibly represents one choice at a time adding up to results.
Which is also why I love saying we use our business as the playground for our soul fitness, for our self development.
And WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO SHORTCUT THAT!
You could miss important lessons that then hinder your actual progress, your true healing and growing and self awareness, as God intends for you.
Which is why I am not promising you any magical overnight results, no secret KFC recipe reveals, no breakthroughs. I am not here to sell you on me, I am here to share my message and crack open the underdog, the insecure, the startups who are unsure, overwhelmed and tip toeing around.
HOW?
With simple steps and practical ideas for integrating into your daily life, that current you can apply to become future you. Like:
*a daily ritual for YOU. Not biz, not planning, not outward. INWARD YOU.
I like to start the morning with coffee and reading followed by journaling. This quiet time soothes me, and sets the tone for the day. Sometimes it doesn't occur until night, that's ok. Its not the when, but the act of having it. 5 mins, 60 mins, the ticket is to take time to be with YOURSELF daily.
* body movement. anything, just get the moving around. otherwise you get so tight in your head and it restricts creativity, relaxation and adds pressure. Any form of body movement to connect to your whole self throughout the day is a new habit, a new shift towards simplicity, grace and tenacity.
You know my jam is organizing your business, I can help you set up structure, tools and new habits to run the biz more efficiently.
For sure, and that does make running a business soooo much easier for a sexy solopreneur like you.
But the there's that lifey thing..... The curve balls, the unexpected, unpredicted, unaccounted for things that interrupt.
So how can we still stay on track and keep momentum while shits hitting the fan?
LADIES - how do we "achieve" anything in life? Through Consistent imperfect action!!
Sometimes a simple road trip becomes a fiasco because of unexpected circumstances (construction work, accident, flat tire).
Sometimes a trip to the grocery store fails because the stock is out, you can't find it or your kid just can't calm down that day.
Sometimes a relationship or friendship is magic and other times in conflict.
Sometimes business is booming and other times its a bit quiet.....
What is consistent in all these? Trying again.
You don't give up driving
You don't stop getting groceries
Or loving someone
Or working to grow your business just because of a few circumstances
You keep going, to the best that you can from where you are.
You take imperfect action to move forward.
You embody simplicity, grace and tenacity by taking that immediate one next step to manage the situation and move through it.
Having a plan, a strategy in play helps, helps keep you on course when circumstances show up. Makes it easier to correct your course, to adjust the sail if you will. It's an anchor to come back to, to follow.
While I LOVE to plan, I KNOW that you can't plan for everything - we are not the army trying to figure out scenarios for 1,000,000,000 situations.
JUST SHOW UP in some way for YOURSELF and then for those things that align with who that is. For sure, we often apply this to business, but I want you to stretch beyond business. I want this for alllllll of who you are.
Remember - the business is the playground for your soul fitness.
Your biz is ONLY A PART of your ENTIRE SELF.
When you practice imperfect actions in alllll of who you are, you will move the needle in business, in relationships, in everything.
So while "fail to plan, plan to fail" is one version, I prefer "plan to fail and know how to take imperfect action to keep going anyway!"
This journey isn't about any one individual element, it's about allllll of them (ALL OF YOU) xoxo
